Malvasia Bomarchese Selection

Quality dry white wine

Vineyard location and characteristics: The vineyards are located on the hills of Buje, at 220 to 250 metres above the sea, at the location of Bomarchese. In this special year, the vine from the oldest part of the vineyard gave birth to grapes with rather distinctive aromas which were harvested a few days later than the rest of grapes of Malvasia variety and vinified separately.

Vinification and maturing: A part of the must is subjected to the process of crio-maceration and then lightly pressed after which it is left to ferment at temperatures from 14 to 16 °C. With the help of fine lees, the wine is left to mature in stainless steel barrels until spring when it’s bottled.

Color: Straw yellow with gold reflection

Bouquet: Fresh, complex and delicate, it starts with the fragrance of white flowers and unfolds in scents of the white vineyard peach, spice herbs and white pepper

Taste: Mineral-rich, fresh, but also warm, round, full-bodied and salty, leaving the palate with a taste of ripe fruits and a finale of a mild and typically elegant bitterness

Gastronomic recommendation: Wide selection of seafood, grilled prawns and shrimp, but also heftier dishes than fish and white meat, foie gras on toast with white pepper and slices of dried apricots
